Make It Real was written on April 7, 8, 2020, during the Quarantine Lockdown. That was a very productive time for me, musically, and it inspired me to start bringing these songs to you!
Recorded June 3, August 16, October 3, 2020 at Cappel Recording, Loveland, Ohio.
Saxes recorded August 28, 2020 in a car in Ballard, Seattle, Washington.

I see some friends say that a better world
Is within our reach
I see others say the opposite
And some just eat a peach
I don't mean to spend my time
Standing up to preach
But everybody likely has some knowledge
They could stand to teach.


It's not okay to just dream of a better world
We've got to make it real
Hopes and dreams, It sadly seems
Are left for someone else to steal
I always hear people say they hate this or that
But what does that really do?
The hatred doesn't affect the thing you hate
It's only affecting you.


Dreaming of Peace and Love
Is nothing without actions
Saying that you love everyone
When divided into factions
When we're all divided
All our power is split into fractions
At the same time both Peace and Hate
Are slowly gaining traction.
